Michigan does not accept a voted military or overseas ballot by fax: apart from eligible military members, who may return a ballot electronically through the state portal, every military or overseas voter must return the completed absentee ballot by mail. Source

A Michigan voter serving overseas or living abroad can choose to receive the blank absentee ballot by email, online, or fax, or by mail.

A Michigan military or overseas ballot returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the local clerk within 6 days after the election; an eligible military member returning electronically must submit by 8 p.m. on Election Day in the time zone where registered.
