Fax Near Me: Where to Send a Fax Today
Shipping stores, office-supply stores and libraries will send a fax for you, each at its own per-page price, and a reply, where a store takes one, waits at that counter for pickup. Below, what each one publishes, from its own pages, and the same send from the phone in your hand, free for the first pages every month.

What to bring, and what a counter cannot do
What to bring
- The pages, printed.
- The fax number, checked. A fax to a wrong number cannot be recalled.
- A card. The kiosks on these pages take no cash; one library desk takes only cash.
- A cover sheet if the receiving machine is shared. Print one free from our fax cover sheet page.
What a counter cannot do
- Receive a fax for you, at the library: Mid-Continent’s kiosk page says incoming faxes will not be received. The UPS Store, and some FedEx Office stores, hold one for pickup, for a fee, on their line.
- Give you a fax number of your own, so a reply can reach you.
- Send outside its hours.
The free option in your pocket
Every FaxTerra account sends 10 free pages a month, to any supported country, with no card on file. A page to a US number counts as one.
- 01
Photograph the pages, or upload the PDF
From the phone camera, a file, or a scan. Several files merge into one fax.
- 02
Type the fax number
US, Canada and the other supported countries. A cover page is optional.
- 03
Send, and keep the confirmation
The fax goes out in minutes, and an email confirms delivery.
Past the free pages, a Lite pack is $1.99 for 10 pages, and credits never expire.
Places people ask about that do not list a fax service, or fax only for their own customers
Does CVS fax? Not listed
CVS's store services page lists copying and printing ("Copy and print documents or digital files at a KODAK Picture Kiosk"), not faxing. For a fax, the nearest counter is a shipping store or the library, or your phone.
Does the post office fax? Not a listed service
USPS lists what its self-service kiosks do (buy stamps, weigh packages, print and pay for shipping labels, mail letters or packages, renew a PO Box, book a passport appointment) and faxing is not on the list; we found no USPS page describing a fax service at the counter.
Does a bank or credit union fax? For account holders, at a fee
Some branches fax for their own customers and list the fee on the account fee schedule: $3.00 for the first page sent, plus a per-page fee after it, at Five Star Bank; "First 2 pages free, $1 per additional page" at Members Community Credit Union; $1.00 per domestic page at Diversified Members Credit Union; $3.00 per page at Sharefax.

Where can I fax for free near me?
A few public libraries fax at no charge (Saint Paul Public Library lists faxing at "No charge"), but most places that fax for you charge per page. The free option that needs no trip is the phone in your hand: every FaxTerra account sends 10 free pages a month, with no card on file.
How much does it cost to fax at UPS?
Each UPS Store sets its own price. One store's published sheet lists a domestic fax at $5.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each page after it, and incoming faxes at $1.00 per page. Details and the arithmetic for 5 and 20 pages are on the UPS Store fax page.
Can I fax at the library?
At many public libraries, on a self-service kiosk or at the desk, and each sets its own price: $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each subsequent page at one library's kiosk, $1 per page at another's desk, no charge at a third. The kiosks send only. See faxing at the library.
Does CVS have a fax machine?
CVS's store services page lists copying and printing, not faxing. For a fax, the nearest counter is a shipping store or the library, or your phone.
Can I receive a fax at the UPS Store?
Yes, at a store that offers it: The UPS Store describes its service as sending and receiving faxes, and one published sheet charges $1.00 per page incoming; you collect the pages at the counter. For a reply that comes to you, a number of your own on FaxTerra receives into your inbox: a One-Time Fax Number is $14.99 once, or a Starter plan is $4.99 a month.
FaxTerra is a fax service, not any of the stores or libraries above. Reviewed October 2026.
