Your Own Fax Number for $4.99/Month
Most fax numbers cost $12–17/month. Ours is $4.99 with 50 pages included — because the infrastructure behind a fax number costs a fraction of what these services charge.
Why a dedicated number matters
Without your own fax number, your faxes are sent from a shared number. If the other party responds, the reply can’t reach you.
IRS filings
A rejection notice from the IRS goes unanswered — penalties and refiling follow.
Insurance claims
Your insurer's determination never arrives — you miss your appeal window.
Bank documents
Your lender requests more documents — your closing gets delayed.
Legal filings
A court filing response goes missing — deadlines pass.
For $4.99/month, every reply reaches you. That’s less than the cost of missing one.

What $4.99/month gets you
Your own dedicated fax number
A real US or Canadian fax number that people and businesses can send faxes to. Give it out on forms, business cards, or anywhere you need a fax line.
Email when a fax arrives
Get notified instantly when someone sends you a fax. View the document right from the email or in your online inbox.
Check your faxes from anywhere
Your inbox works on your phone, tablet, or computer. See incoming faxes, check delivery status, and send — all from one place.
Replies come back to you
Your faxes are sent from your dedicated number. If the recipient faxes back — a doctor, government office, or business — the reply lands in your inbox.
Clear delivery confirmation
When you send a fax, you can see the status in real time and get an email the moment it's delivered. No guessing.

Common Questions
How much does a dedicated fax number cost?
FaxTerra Starter is $4.99/month with 50 pages included. That's 50–70% cheaper than eFax ($16.95/month) and 45% cheaper than Fax.Plus Basic ($8.99/month) for equivalent features. The infrastructure behind a fax number costs a fraction of what most services charge — most of what you pay elsewhere is margin built on market inertia.
Why is eFax $16.95/month?
eFax is owned by a company that operates at 43% profit margins on $350M in annual revenue. Their pricing reflects a near-monopoly position from the early 2000s, not what the service actually costs to deliver. The interface hasn't been meaningfully updated in over a decade either.
Can I keep my fax number if I cancel?
Your FaxTerra number is yours as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, the number is released after a grace period. We don't charge cancellation fees or make you call to cancel — you can do it from your account settings in one click.
Do I need a dedicated number to send faxes?
No. If you only need to send faxes (not receive them), FaxTerra's free tier and credit packs work without a dedicated number. A dedicated number is only necessary if you want to receive incoming faxes — or if you need the person you faxed to be able to fax you back.
What if someone faxes a reply to a fax I sent?
With a dedicated number, your outgoing faxes show your number as the sender. If the recipient faxes back, it arrives in your inbox automatically. Without a dedicated number, faxes are sent from a shared number and replies can't be delivered to you.
How will I know when a fax arrives?
You get an email notification immediately when a fax arrives at your number. You can also view incoming faxes in your inbox on the web — works on your phone, tablet, or computer.
