Security
Your documents are encrypted on the way to us and for as long as we hold them, and every time someone on our side opens one it is written to an access log we keep for six years. How we protect your documents, who can see your account, and what we check every week are on the security page.
HIPAA
An account that adds HIPAA compliance executes a Business Associate Agreement before any protected health information is transmitted, and an agreement is in place with our storage, database, hosting and error-monitoring vendors, everywhere that information is stored or processed. The agreement itself is published here, unchanged, with its version.
Privacy and data handling
What we collect and why is in the privacy policy. How long each kind of data is kept, and what deleting your account does to it, is in the retention table. Every company that receives account or document data, what it receives, and whether a Business Associate Agreement is in force with it, is in the subprocessor list.
