Entering a Japanese fax number
Choose Japan in the send form, then type the number the way it is dialed inside Japan. A Japanese number starts with an area code that begins with 0 when dialed inside Japan, followed by the subscriber number; mobile numbers begin with 070, 080, or 090. Type the number as it is printed, hyphens and all. The form shows the number as it will be sent after +81 and drops a domestic leading 0 for you, so type it or leave it off. Do not add a 0 after the country code yourself; the form will not accept it.
