Vanguard Fax Number for Investment Forms

One published line, and it is the institutional one

Vanguard’s institutional forms print a fax number in their return-instructions block: (484) 582-2806, the Institutional Investor Group intake line. That is the number on the redemption form, the wire purchase form, the exchange form, the checkwriting form and the organization resolution form.

Vanguard’s corporate contact page lists no fax at all, and no personal-investor page or form we could read prints one. So a page headlined “Vanguard fax number” has to say which Vanguard it means. This one means the institutional side.

If you hold a personal Vanguard account, your transfer and rollover forms route to mail or to the secure upload in your account. A number circulated on forums as the personal-investor fax appears on no Vanguard page, and a signed transfer form sent to it goes somewhere neither you nor Vanguard controls.

What goes to the institutional line

The institutional forms name fax because timing matters on them:

• Redemption requests, where same-day settlement depends on the form arriving before the daily cutoff
• Wire purchase instructions on an institutional account
• Exchange requests between funds
• Checkwriting enrollment and organization resolution forms
• Account registration changes for an institutional account
