Which Barclays fax number you need

All three lines belong to Barclays Bank Delaware, the US card issuer behind the co-brand cards Barclays runs with airlines, hotels and retailers. Which one you use depends on what the document is:

• A billing dispute goes to the Billing Disputes line with the completed dispute form and your evidence attached.
• A Statement of Fraud goes to Fraud Investigations, and only when Investigations has already sent you that form. It is a reply channel for an open case, not an intake for reporting fraud in the first place. Report fraud by phone.
• Everything else in writing goes to the general Card Services fax, which Barclays also lists for service of subpoenas.

Two other Barclays US businesses publish no fax at all. Barclays Online Savings and Barclays personal loans both list phone, secure message and mail only, so a savings or loan document has no fax destination to use. Barclays also does not publish a fax for card application reconsideration or verification documents. A number circulated on reconsideration forums appears on no Barclays page, so it is not listed here. And these are US numbers: Barclays UK and Barclaycard UK are a different bank entirely, with different destinations.

What people send to Barclays by fax

The documents that make it onto these lines are evidence documents:

• A completed billing dispute form with receipts, order confirmations, return tracking, or the merchant correspondence that shows what you asked for and what happened
• A Statement of Fraud returned to Investigations, signed, with any police report or affidavit the letter asked for
• Written correspondence to Card Services where a phone call has not resolved something and you want a dated paper record
• Subpoenas and legal orders for subpoena processing

Attach what the form lists and no more. A dispute needs the transaction detail, not a photograph of your card, and full card numbers stay off any page that does not specifically request them. Nothing here should ever carry wire-transfer instructions.

These lines take documents in, they do not answer back

Barclays Card Services fax destinations are intake queues. Your pages are scanned, attached to the case, and worked by the team that owns it. Barclays then responds the way it responds to any dispute: a letter to the address on file, a message in your account, or a provisional credit that appears on the statement.

Nothing comes back by fax, so there is no reply to wait for on a fax line. What you keep is the delivery receipt from your own send, which shows the destination number, the page count and the time the receiving machine accepted the pages. On a dispute with a regulatory clock attached, having a dated record of when your evidence went in is worth more than the fax itself.

Verify the number before you send

A dispute packet carries your name, your account details and often merchant records tied to you. Confirm the destination before it leaves:

• Use the fax number printed on the form Barclays sent you. The dispute form and the Statement of Fraud each print their own return destination, and that beats a general number.
• Call the number on the back of your card and ask them to read the fax number back to you.
• Check you have the US bank. Barclays UK numbers are not Barclays Bank Delaware numbers.
• Do not use a number from a forum thread or a directory site. If it does not appear on a Barclays page or a Barclays form, do not send account paperwork to it.
